Thinking regionally about how we get around
I recognize that Whistler’s transportation challenges don’t stop at the municipal border. I support regional transit that connects Whistler with neighbouring communities, while acknowledging that highway improvements ultimately fall to the province.
As I told Pique Newsmagazine, we need to think about transit at a regional scale — which means lobbying the province and allocating resources toward those connections, not just focusing on what happens inside Whistler’s own boundaries.
It’s a theme that runs through my whole platform: by bringing people into the process and being honest about where municipal power has real limits, residents can still feel like they have genuine agency in shaping the outcome.
