However you feel about my campaign, I want every eligible voter in Whistler to have their voice counted. Whistler’s 2026 General Local Election is on Saturday, October 17 — here’s what you need to know.
Where and when to vote
| Voting option | When | Hours | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advance voting | Wednesday, October 7 | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Whistler Public Library |
| Advance voting | Saturday, October 10 | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Whistler Public Library |
| General Voting Day | Saturday, October 17 | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Myrtle Philip Community School |
You can vote on any of these three days — they’re all open to every eligible voter. You don’t need a reason to vote early, and there’s nothing to apply for in advance: just turn up on whichever day suits you best. Voting by mail is a separate option with its own deadline, below.

Voting by mail
Mail ballot voting is available to eligible voters. If you’d like to vote by mail, you must register by 4 p.m. on October 13.
If you can’t get to a voting place
If illness, mobility, work, or travel makes it hard to reach the library or the school on any of these days, don’t assume you can’t vote. Mail ballot registration is open until 4 p.m. on October 13, and RMOW’s Legislative Services team can talk you through the options — election@whistler.ca or 604-935-8114.
Am I eligible to vote?
You can vote as a resident elector if, on General Voting Day, you:
- are 18 years of age or older
- are a Canadian citizen
- have lived in B.C. for at least six months immediately before registering
- are a resident of Whistler
- are not disqualified from voting under the Local Government Act
Hours and full details
The RMOW’s election page lists specific opening and closing times for both advance and general voting. For the most current details, visit the official page or contact the Legislative Services team at election@whistler.ca / 604-935-8114.
That’s my case. Now it’s your turn — I hope to earn your vote on or before October 17.
